WHO ARE WE?

🍀 Smart Impulse is the story of a graduation project that turned into an ambitious and committed entrepreneurial adventure!

In 2011, Charles and Henri, our two founders, took on the challenge of revolutionising energy management in buildings.

We design and develop next-generation electrical measurement solutions built around an electricity meter, the Smart X. It installs in less than an hour, with no tools and no power cut. From a single measurement point, our patented algorithms (Non-Intrusive Load Monitoring, NILM) identify how much each type of equipment in a building consumes: lighting, heating, IT, ventilation and so on.

By analysing this data, commercial building managers find savings levers and can then control and optimise their energy consumption.

Today our solutions are deployed in more than 4,000 buildings across 60 countries.

Join our team of 60+ Impulsers who help shape the future of energy innovation every day!

🚀 THE CONTEXT

Reporting to Sandra, our Energy Efficiency Manager, you will join our team of 15 energy experts. Together we study the energy consumption of our clients’ buildings, mostly commercial buildings in more than 40 countries.

Your goal is to use Smart Impulse’s algorithms to help clients understand their electricity consumption by end use, and to support them in reaching their energy efficiency targets. This is a varied role combining data analysis, technical skills and client relations. Your analyses go straight into the hands of our clients.

🎯 YOUR MISSIONS

Your missions are built around three pillars:

1. Building analysis & data. Thanks to you, every client gets a reliable breakdown of their consumption by end use.

  • Study clients’ buildings to understand their activity and energy consumption, and collect information about the equipment on site

  • Run our algorithms and analyse the data to produce the breakdown by end use

  • Make the results available to clients on the Smart Impulse platform

2. Client support & recommendations. Thanks to you, clients turn their data into concrete energy savings.

  • Present a building’s consumption profile to the client and give quantified energy-saving recommendations, step by step and alongside the team

  • Track how the electricity consumption of the buildings in your portfolio changes each week, and share highlights such as faulty equipment or potential savings

  • Answer client questions throughout their contract and take part in annual review meetings

3. Teamwork & continuous improvement. Thanks to you, our solution and tools keep getting better.

  • Work within a project team with a project manager and a sales manager, sharing operational tasks and keeping an eye on client satisfaction

  • Pass on client feedback and suggest improvements to our technology and internal tools

📈 CAREER PROSPECTS

A permanent contract (CDI) as an Energy Efficiency Engineer at the end of your internship is a real prospect. Once hired:
